Hello! A bonus post for National Ice Cream day (Sunday)! This is not a healthy treat, but a splurge every now and then is okay!
Growing up, there was this restaurant that was known for their ice cream. They had this delicious sundae! Creamy vanillaice cream drowned with hot fudge and peanut butter topping (I’m salavating!). They sprinkled those candy coated chocolate andpeanut butter candies (think E.T.) on top of the whipped cream. Yum! I loved this sundae. So, I thought we’d recreate it at home with our homemade icecream.
The peanut butter topping at the store was nasty and it separated easily. So, we were on a mission to make our own topping. I hope you enjoy this treat and have great time celebrating National Ice cream day!
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
In a saucepan on medium heat combine the sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, and butter. Stir continuously until combined and melting down. Add water a few tablespoons at a time, until desired consistency. Take off the heat and add vanilla.
